Relaxed documentary style wedding and portrait photography in London and throughout the UK
Authentic storytelling for laid back & fun loving couples
There’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all wedding. Every couple is different, and I love capturing the little things that make each wedding uniquely yours.
My goal is to get to know you, understand what matters to you, and bring out the things that make you you. Because while wedding traditions can be beautiful, they’re not for everyone. And if something doesn’t feel right for you as a couple, why include it just because it’s expected?
At the heart of it all is the promise you’re making to each other, and that’s what matters. I’ll be there to capture it all honestly and naturally, and to help you feel at ease along the way, whenever you need a little guidance.
Make it yours. Be yourselves. I’ll capture the story as it unfolds.
Why Intimate Weddings?
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had a lot of fun over the years photographing big weddings! But my heart really lies in the intimate details, the emotional speeches, and those one-on-one moments between the couple and their closest friends and family.
I love being able to capture the little moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, and the feeling of a day that’s truly about the two of you and the people you love most.
“Hannah is an incredibly amazing and supportive photographer, with a style and character that we have valued greatly. Whilst my now husband is a natural in front of the camera, I often feel very anxious and am not sure what to do with myself when the camera is pointed at me. During both our engagement shoot and our wedding day itself it was an absolute dream! Hannah brought a calming and reassuring presence, enabling us to have so much fun.”
The woman behind the camera…
Hey there! I’m Hannah, a wedding photographer living in South West London with my husband, Ian, and our tortoiseshell cat, Luna.
As you might have guessed from my photo, I’m a little obsessed with the beach! I grew up in California, so the coast will always hold a special place in my heart. I moved to London at 21 to study at university and, somewhere along the way, decided to make it home. These days, I love being part of our church community and living in South West London, where we get a little of that countryside feel while still having Central London just around the corner.
I love travelling, playing Dungeons & Dragons and board games of all kinds, and watching movies. Ian didn’t watch a lot of movies as a kid, so I’ve been catching him up on all the classics (you know, like Jaws and Miss Congeniality).
And last but not least, I love food! One of the ways I measure whether or not a holiday was a success is by how much good food I was able to eat.
So, how did I get into photography?
Photography was the first thing I truly fell in love with, and the first thing I felt I was genuinely good at. I started out photographing my friends and the everyday things around me, experimenting with light, angles, and the little details that caught my eye.
At university, I initially studied fashion photography before switching to a broader degree that gave me the freedom to explore different kinds of photography and discover what really felt like me.
And then I found weddings.
I fell in love with the creativity, the emotion, and, most importantly, the people. Weddings give me the freedom to create beautiful, thoughtful images while building genuine connections with the people in front of my camera. I get to document something incredibly meaningful, capture the little moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, and create photographs that bring you right back to how it all felt.
And honestly, I can’t imagine a better thing to photograph.
“Hannah was not only professional but an absolute joy to be with throughout the day. While my wife is beautiful and can look great in photos without even trying, I often feel fairly uncomfortable taking posed photos, but Hannah made our photoshoots feel easy and natural, and it really does show!”
